Mechanics and Integration within the Pixel Platform
Mechanical design and system integration are essential components of modern detector development, ensuring that sensors, electronics, cooling, and services operate reliably within tight spatial and material constraints.
Within the Pixel Platform, activities in this area focus on low-mass support structures, integration of ultra-thin silicon sensors, precise alignment, and the routing of power and data services in large-scale detector systems.
Future updates will include detailed descriptions of mechanical concepts, prototyping efforts, and integration strategies for next-generation detectors such as ITS3 and ALICE 3.
